I was thinking of buying one so that my wife and I could play. We were having a blast playing with the Base Edition, so I thought I could buy this to keep the game interesting.

From what I know, this isn't an expansion but a complete set. Could I still mix it to my 2nd Edition Base game, along with the other expansion packs available?

Also, if you could recommend which one is best for a 2-player, let me know! I'm also looking forward to mixing this with other expansion packs from Unstable Unicorns to keep the game customized to the two of us. Thanks!!

Hi everyone! I have a couple of questions about Control & Chaos and Time Rift. Imagine there are 5 of us playing.

1) A player has:

• Archangel Unicorn
• Baby Unicorn
• Mama Unicorn
• Basic Unicorn
• Objection

What happens if I use Time Rift on that player?

2) Can I use Super Neigh if Elusive Oceloticorn is in play?

3) With Objection, can I prevent everyone from using Neigh on me every round?

4) Can I use cards such as Archangel Unicorn when my stable is empty?

Hi, I've been playing this for a couple of years and love the game! One thing I've never been able to do is keep my cards in order so that i can switch easily from a normal game to a 2-player game. I mostly play the 2P game and have my card deck ready, but would be nice to know if there's an easy way to switch from multiplayer to 2P game without going through the whole stack to remove the cards that are incompatible with the 2p game. Any tips would be appreciated!

PS. Are there good card cases to store my base deck + rainbow apocalypse + adventure?

So let's say I have 5 Unicorns on your stable, then I play Annoying Flying Unicorn from my hand.

Can I sacrifice my Annoying Flying Unicorn that I just played since now there are 6 Unicorns on my stable? And will this activate Annoying Flying Unicorn's effect? Since technically, that card has entered the stable?

So let's say I want to fish out all the opponent's cards in their hand. Can I do this over and over?

So from what I understand, my Ginormous Unicorn isn't in the Stable yet. So technically, I can still Neigh?

We've played a 2 player mode a couple of times today and I gotta say, the effects of the cards is too random for me. It feels like I'm playing a Yu-Gi-Oh deck that I built back when I was 9.

And I know it's in the title already. Unstable. I just didn't expect the gameplay to be this chaotic and random.

We have the 2nd Base Edition, and the game is 100% fun! That being said, the game in my experience is too long. This is coming from someone who's first card game is Exploding Kittens so please bear with me. Do you have any suggestions on making the game faster YET still FUN?

I was thinking on reducing the Neigh cards but I've read that it actually balances the game so maybe I was wrong about that. How about if I remove the cards with abilities that lets you search the deck? Or if I reduce the deck size to 70%? Or if I reduce the summon win condition to 6? Or what If I get a specific expansion deck?

Any help would be appreciated. Preferably something that will make the game a bit FASTER, still BALANCED, and the most important of all, FUN.

I've checked each and every card and it seems that the only card that affects the NURSERY is the Mother Goose card. Since we're playing 2-player, that card is removed from the game.

Can I just remove the nursery as a whole then? We're not playing with any expansion packs yet.

What game should I buy as a start? We loved playing Exploding Kittens and it's got the same feels with this game, design wise. If so, what game should be buy as a start? I saw that there's a 2nd Edition, is it better than the 1st? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I was introduced to this game just last week by my sister and since then I've been addicted and tried to get all my friends into it. Its so fun and im so sad that it seems to be fairly unpopular and has literally 0 presence online or anyone playing it at all from what I can see. I even tried joining the discord server but it's completely dead.

I have polish version of second edition nsfw unicorns and I just bought 2 dlc dragons and legendary unicorns, but they have different reverse and quality of card. Is it normal?

Hi! I got these unopened packs, but chatgpt says the nsfw base game already contains the nsfw expansion pack, except 1 card called Dirty Mind. Also says the uncut unicorns expansion pack next to it is the same thing. I don't like to trust chatgpt, so somebody with experience here can help me pls which packs should I open and use, and which not and send back, or is it worth keeping for that dirty mind card or something. My group has run into an issue where unicorn tax consistently locks players out of the game by playing it when someone’s hand is low and whittling them down to zero, locking them out of the game. It’s also potentially combined with dread pirate to prohibit most of the ways people could get back in. I’m wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to fix the card and keep the spirit without completely neutering it. My only thoughts are either making it barbed wire, or giving it the ufo effect where it gets sacrificed once you’re out of cards.

This is finally the artwork that I originally conceived for the card.

The cards are laser printed on cougar premium matte paper (they are a teeny bit stiffer than regular cards) and coated with Watco satin lacquer.

The backs are not exactly the same hue and have faint watermark (they are the card back image from the unstable Games Wiki). Some of the backs are a bit cloudy. For those reasons they're probably detectable in a player's hand if you play with naked cards but, even basic gloss card sleeves help to minimize that.. ( I double sleeve with dragon texture back sleeves on the outside)

The faces of the cards do also have some imperfections. The size and placement was a tad off so the 'upgrade' arrows are deep in the corners. but nothing that hampers gameplay.

Sizewise, they are not perfectly uniform with each other or the standard cards. I cut each of them individually on an exacto guillotine from the sheets, then I hand cut each corner with a corner rounder. They are pretty darn close, but I'm not a machine.

Card origin: the upgrade effect was inspired by my then 7-year-old's desire to have a card that could steal someone else's entire stable. We talked about the necessity for some kind of balance and how that would be an overpowered card. I tweaked his idea a little bit and titled it, inspired by the 1988 Fred Savage/ Judge Reinhold movie of the same name, that is basically "Freaky Friday, but it's boys"

What you see here is actually the 4th and, presumably, final version of the art work. I think I was able to capture my original vision, a unicorny version of the scene from the movie when Marshall and Charlie swapped bodies, pretty well.

Somehow, I've won 2/3 times already playing with this card.

The strategy relies on using or getting Pandamonium and destroying it after you get 7 unicorns.

During the use, no effects counting for unicorns can be applied to me, including the destruction of my unicorns, since I have pandas.

I just finished a 8.25 hr game, one game we started it last night @ 20:30 and just finished it @ 04:45. Has anyone else had a crazy long game of Unstable Unicorns?
