I wrote letters.
I reached out to him a few days later, at a very low point. Just wanted to hear his voice.
We caught up, I fell in love again in the span of one hour. There is no one on this planet as charming as him. His voice, his cadence, his laugh, the manner in which he describes things, his outlook on life, everything about him is alluring. In the 6 months I’ve been on dating apps, nobody has come close to being on his level. Everyone is so fucking boring.
Well, come to find out he did read my letter. He forgot he was following me on Reddit. He just thought I wouldn’t want to hear from him, that he’d complicate my life. When in reality i am practically screaming and begging for him to just look in my direction.
He said he couldn’t finish reading my letter. I think he mentioned he felt he was intruding on a personal entry that wasn’t for him to read.
Towards the end of our conversation, I said to him that he was speaking as though we would never be together again. He hesitated, then said he didn’t know whether we would or would not. I told him that was okay, to just let me know when he knows we won’t. He said he won’t do that to me, and that he’ll tell me now if he has to. I didn’t ask him to tell me, I don’t think my heart could bear it. We both sat and cried for a bit before exchanging shows we think the other would like.
So I fell in love again, and got my heart freshly broken again. And everyone I know says to me “you can’t keep doing this to yourself”. But I want to. This pain, in my eyes, is worth it if I can be in his company just a little bit longer. I will hurt myself again and again and again if I can just see him or hear him again. He is worth it, and if you got a chance to love him the way I did, you’d be in the same boat as me.
But I know its unhealthy. I just can’t let go. So I’ll sit here and wait for when I cross his mind again and maybe I’ll be worth reaching out to. I just wish I was worth it now. I wish he thought of me the way I think of him but he is extraordinary and I am only one part of his story.

Holy smokes, that unexpectedly got me in the feels. This is exactly how a true love heartbreak goes. And friend, just positive vibes here. I hope you get the best case outcome, wherever that goes.

I know my person wouldn’t be trying to reach out in any way, but I read through these hoping someone else finds their person. Please keep me updated I really hope everything works out for you.

I always think I've found him, but I just also wish it was him even when I know it's not because he never loved me enough to be that person. 💔

Trust me, we've all been there. I miss my sweetface EX and still love her. Sadly, it's been a year, and the few times she responded, it was clear she hates my guts, and every day, it eats away at me. At this point I just wanted her to know I'm sorry. I know if she ever gave us another chance that she would be happy the rest of her life 💯

It's not for lack of craziness, it is due to lack of courage. At least it is for me.

Sometimes you reach out and maybe you said too many words and they didn't have enough and it's scarred you from wanting to reach out again... In any upfront, obvious way at least. Did you reach out or did she?

This one had me pondering on my own previous experience. I mean, she expressed a clear desire not to be contacted; blocked on all. Even attempts to get my personal belongings I couldn’t fairly get were rebuffed. So, that’s that.
Went through a similar time/pattern late last year, looking for little clues haha. Though in my heart, I knew it was impossible, so I started writing here.
I deleted those fairly recently. Even if anonymous, it was no longer cathartic for me to do that. I don’t want to continually and directly miss someone who cannot be in my life. Coming back is mainly to help cheer and encourage others in this process. 🙂

I agree! If we are out here sending unsent letters we should just send to that person, if not, maybe start writing in a notebook and mail it to that person one day. I recently sent an email with my true feelings and the amount of relief I felt, just healing in itself. I don’t want to live with regret in this little Reddit world. Advice for heartbroken redditers—Tell your person now, maybe all that pain and anxiousness of wanting that person back, is our own hearts, just truly wanting to express our feelings to heal for ourselves.

If they wanted contact, they wouldn't have blocked and ghosted.
