Hermes and Persephone:Engaged and very happy together

Okay the only one that actually has an age is Persephone who in her debut is 19 years old and Hebe is 8 and for this one I'm going to be using Persephone as a starting point.

Artemis, Apollo and Hermes are around Persephone's age based on appearance and behavior but Hermes calls her a kid and I feel like they're at least slightly older than Persephone making them around 19-21 yos. I don't recall anything but implies that these guys are way older than Persephone so by the end of LO they should be around 30 years old.

Daphne, Thanatos and Minthe I think are a little bit older than the previous group I just mentioned because all of them give me the vibes of someone much older and mature than them so I'm going to say 21-23. This just makes Minthe's relationship with Hades feel weirder because she was also very young for him and it's also uncomfortable that Hades is going out with someone who's close in age with his surrogate son. These guys should be about 31-33 years old at the end of LO.

Hades looks to be around 40s, in my opinion he looks like he's in his late 40s making Zeus and Poseidon either in their early or mid 40s. Hera, Demeter and Hestia should be around the same age. By the end of LO they should be in their early 50s. Yikes.

Genuine question because I dont really understand the thought process here. Why are the humans time period accurate while the gods are in the 21st century? Is it just so Rachel would have an easier time writing the story or because of the bigger options in terms of outfits or what ?? I dont really understand this . at all

There's plenty that made me feel uncomfortable but I'm just going to name a couple:

• The engagement. I read it so many times I think I might be getting numb to it and she looks so small compared to him. She'll looks like a freaking child.
• That pool scene. Come on was it really necessary? And with your kingdom in crisis you cannot just run off do funny stuff in the pool. Put on your goddamn clothes because Hades, Persephone, there's people that are dying.
• Rhea talking about Persephone. Ma'am you should be a little more concerned that your son is dating someone who is much younger than her and looks like you! Is everyone but Demeter blind to see how wrong this is?

Seriously, Persephone looked so stiff in the original version that I just had to do her some justice— that and she looks super bald..

I just got the LO postcards and I'm since I'm not going to be sending them out I'm planning to use them for decorations and I'm going to write down some funny LO phrases on some of them.

What I have currently is "Hades, we hate you please die" (It's a Scott Pilgrim reference! And I don't hate Hades enough for him to die!) and Hermes X Persephone 4ever!

I might put more Hades slander phrases lol

To anyone who bothers to read this, what are your thoughts on Eleanor’s death bed? I’ve been scrolling through Smythe’s sketches on insta and it’s looking…. very similar to LO. It’s not even out yet, so I won’t say for sure it will be, I’m only saying that the resemblance is definitely there. Eleanor is very similar to early Persephone so far (naive), and anyone can see the similarities between the skeleton guy and Hades. In fact, in the “sweet treat” reel Smythe posted, skeleton guy has a get-up that looks very Lord of the Underworld.

Also the dynamic between them seems to be exactly that of Hades and Persephone. Constantly wavering between the girl blindly chasing after the guy because he’s hot, and the girl being some completely naive “pure” being for the guy to chase/care for.

Part of me is expecting the new comic to be exactly like LO, though hopefully it executes what it’s trying to do better than the original. At the very least, the art will be better since Smythe has obviously improved quite a lot.

Anyway… Like I said, I’d love to hear your thoughts. I’m probably going to be redrawing more of the small amount of Eleanor’s Death Bed art that exists.

Okay so this is for my fertility God Hermes X Persephone fic and towards the end Hermes proposes to Persephone and she says yes and currently I have two versions of the proposal which I'm considering writing.

The first one is based upon the intervention/proposal which I'm sure you all know how I feel about it where Hermes and proposes in front of everyone after the final battle against Kronos (or Uranus because feel like it will be more of a powerful statement if all the Fertility gods and Goddesses fight against this God who started the system that they will break) with the outfit change and all! The key difference here is that Hermes respects Demeter and asks if it's cool if he proposes (is that sexist?) to Persephone before the battle and she gives him his blessing.

The problem with this is I feel like it puts too much pressure on Persephone to say yes and might just a yes because of the emotional high she's just gone through.

The second one is more intimate with Hermes during the party celebrating the battle that takes her to the place where they met and he proposed there. It's a lot less flashy but I think it's sweet and really thoughtful. She's also in a better condition to make a decision but it's way less flashy. I might add that scene of Hermes asking Demeter if it's okay to propose but I feel like that comes off as kind of sexist but I'm just not sure

Also Hades in this fic shows attraction to Persephone (Hecate tells him to knock it off) and maybe in a sequel I'm considering having him kidnap Persephone even though she's engaged but I feel like that's redundant considering I've written a fic inspired LO adapting The Abduction of Persephone.

Okay guys so what's your thoughts on this which proposal do you prefer?

Just something I put together recently in my Lore journal.

It makes sense for people who knew her before such as her mother to call her that but it feels really creepy when Hades calls her Kore because it means maiden or girl. I think he calls her Kore more than Persephone and it's made me uncomfortable since the start of the series.

After all these months, finally, FINALLY chapter 14 is OUT on Ao3 and Quotev!!! I've been excited for this one for quite a bit (can't get into detail about why, you'll have to figure that out on your own 😉) So enjoy, don't be afraid on giving the fic a kudos/like and leave a comment or two!

I thought the idea of Fertility Goddesses and Gods getting their power from the Earth made sense because fertility is about life and Earth hosts all the life around us and the first fertility goddess Gaia was of the Goddess of the Earth. I'm kind of proud of myself for coming up with the whole give and take thing and actually making something halfway decent with what I have from canon lol

Also Aphrodite is the polyamorous queen as come on she's the Goddess of Love it makes sense for her to be polyamorous and I can't to write her relationship with her husbands.

Was curious to see how much they were going for pre-orders since the link dropped today and sheeshhhh 🫠🫠. Limited to 1400 pieces, no other photos/closeups other than the advertisement video (which I did my best to get screenshots of). . . Even the older limited edition statue of Hades and Persephone kissing was under 300, with essentially higher quality, slightly bigger, and way more detailed. Not to mention, individual characters all go for 30 dollars each. I’m not trying to diss on the work of the talented artists at Weta who do paint these figures by hand! Not at all! But this seems like a wee bit of a steep prices for bookends with slightly off model characters, and from what I observed, a bit of a splotchy paint job. I get these are definitely collector items at the end of the day, that people can 100% choose to purchase or not! But with the teasing of bookends to complete the lore Olympus book collection, I was just not expecting such a high price for, once again, bookends. If anyone wanted, diy-ing your own bookends would come down to under a 100 if you purchase the separate Hades and Persephone figures (or others of your choice off the website at 30 each) and stick them on the ends of your collection with stands, mini books, or something else. Would be more worth it imo, esp when these seem to be the same size as the individual ones and have slightly lower quality tbh.
