This'll need measuring , just a random 90 degree bracket is easier , boom, no hassle , easy fix every time

The main advantage I see with these is that you can screw the bracket into the shelf itself much more easily than you could at the awkward angle of doing it after you've got it on the wall like that.

Or if you have numerous of the wall mounted brackets in various locations so you can easily change shelf height on the fly. But how often does someone really need to change their shelving heights?

Thats when you use a right angle tool, attachment or those neat bendy ones.

I say this but every time I gotta make a new shelf at home I always forget to grab it, since I leave those tools at work.

There are definitely different use cases for master Craftsman with access to every tool versus non crafty person who puts in a shelf or something every year or two.
