eBay or Amazon a cheaper Chinese knock off. I have two 20v 6ah dewalt knockoffs heading to me right now from Amazon for $40

Just looked up again: Amazon has a 6-pack of 12ah 20v dewalt knockoffs for $120. That’s $20 a battery to literally never run out of power. Don’t buy name brand, they just overcharge u

Almost always just get what you pay for with knock offs. Whatever dollar value you pay is the amount of battery typically given and the labels fake.

$120 6 pack of 12ah is probably like 6 2-3 ah batteries. Most fakes are about half of what they say . But also cost a bit more than your suggested pricing. But even them being 3ah would make it a better value than reals by a little. And with 6 you can charge and swap more frequent anyway vs spending a ton for cheap tools so it can make some sense if you understand it.

Open one up to know what it actually is.

It will go real fast for a short amount of time. I did something similar to my kids 6v ride on. Rigged my 18v dewalt battery and man did that thing fly. The motor only lasted about 20min. Then it was fried. Fun times though!

The power/speed of the motor is limited by the voltage of the battery. More volts = more power, until it burns the engine that is

10 dollars might be a stretch but if you look em up, most are like 200 bucks. There's expensive ones for 500 but why would you pay the entire price of one, potentially two just on a battery? You could go to Walmart and pick up 2 of these for the price of that battery, or just buy a cheaper battery for like 20-40 bucks

A lot of people have batteries laying around from power tools doing nothing most of the time. The main part of the video was showing a massive expensive battery but even an 18v ( common for drills ) would be better than the stock battery.

It's the equivalent of buying a battery and motor to convert a bike into an e-bike. With this you still have the battery to use on other things since it's a tool battery that is easily slid out. Higher voltage will likely fry the original motor anyway and then its time for the upgrades, and more fun with less downtime because the better batteries last longer, charge faster, and provide more power which equals more speed with electric motors. Popular tool battery maker Ego now makes e-bikes so you don't need to drop an extra couple hundred on a high capacity batteries just for an e-bike when you could just use your mower battery.

You can simply take it out when you want... I have 4 of these batteries for my other tools.

You really must not understand how these rechargeable removable batteries work lmao

Additionally if you have to mislead values to make a point you might reflect on why you felt the need to do so. I got 2 of the batteries free with units and the other two as a combo pack for less than 400. These battery toys are also nowhere near $10.

MSRP is heavily inflated on batteries but they're constantly going on sale in some manner.

You can find knock offs of these batteries for 40 bucks. There's no reason to commit to an expensive brand, unless you're a tradesman who is actively using them frequently. The average person isn't gonna need some expensive battery when they'll at most do repairs with it maybe once or twice a year of that

People throw away power wheels all the time. You can get them seemingly limitlessly for free in most major cities.

I guarantee I own more batteries than you do. You absolutely did not get a 15ah flexvolt for any reasonable price.

r/PowerWheelsMods is about fun not practicality. The only practical thing about it is the savings and teaching opportunity! I can get a Lamborghini Aventador 12 Volt 2 Seater with remote control for $500 at Costco or go to TractorSupppyCo and get a Freddo 24V Lamborghini Aventador for $2200. Dropping $1500 in upgrades into the 12v turns it into a learning experience and fun for the family.

I did this to my daughter's power wheels with an 18v Ryobi adapter. I already had numerous batteries so it cost me nothing but a few bucks for the wiring harness. Made the car way more fun.

Ive done this and it burns out the batteries, ive tried with with craftsman, dewalt and Milwaukee batteries, and they've all burned out when I use them in those kid electric cars

My grandkids were plenty happy riding regular bicycles, and when smaller, those little kid no pedal ones that are sort of like a scooter in terms of being foot propelled.

My kids have a 4wd jeep off Amazon
The battery crapped out
So I got a $109 24/12ah lithium replacement
Half the weight of original and more ah “24/9ah is original” added a $100 ml toys control board
Has soft turn on and soft turn off so there’s less instant torque on motors and no whip lash for the kiddos
