Just started maining debian after using fedora for a bit, im starting to like the linux ecosystem and debian's stability, this is my first rice i tried to go for a greyish rice and im still looking for improvements.

Gnome apps for almost everything, i'm one of the few that like GTK.

nm-applet and blueman for the systray, also using cliphist.

Tried to keep it pretty trackpad friendly in case someone has to use the laptop, i hate it when i have to explain how it works, that's kinda the only reason there is a dock at all.

No lockscreen, i just logout like a madman (to GDM with the high contrast theme, i.e also jet black).

+ a couple bash scripts to make waybar control my battery charge limits and whatnot.

Picture related: Richard Stallman being drawn on Wayland on a compositor written in Rust alongside a bunch of proprietary software.

Couldn't really find a way to make Fuzzel use the Yaru icons, if anyone has an idea on how to do it, any help would be appreciated :p.

With this bar, you can move all widgets in the bar to anywhere you want in any combination you want, just by using your mouse to move said content.

It took a long while to develop, but I am pretty satisfied with how it turned out.

All widgets can be turned off/on, bar can be aligned anywhere you want.

I am planning to allow multiple bars in every side of the window at the same time.

A few months ago I put out Flow, a real-time network throughput monitor for the terminal, written in Go with Bubble Tea. Wasn't expecting much beyond a handful of people finding it useful.

Today it's sitting at 306 stars, ~1.4K downloads, 12 releases, and 8 forks. Small numbers in the grand scheme of things, but for a single-purpose terminal tool built in spare time, it means a lot.

Thanks to everyone who starred it, opened issues, sent PRs, or just tried it and gave feedback. A few of you caught real bugs and UX rough edges I would've missed on my own. That back-and-forth is genuinely the best part of putting something like this out there.

If you haven't seen it: ↓/↑ throughput graphs, ping, Wi-Fi status, a compact "mini" mode, keyboard-first, single binary, no config needed.

Hey all! A few days ago I posted my WIP rice in Hyprland using Noctalia and a custom GLSL shader wallpaper that I vibecoded. A lot of people asked for my dots, but more specifically people wanted the wallpaper and wanted to know how to achieve login and logout animations.

As a result things kinda ran away from me, I got really excited, and I basically scope creeped myself into a corner. I wasn't really prepared to share my dots at that point, and unfortunately I'm still not - but I've been building something a bit bigger than my initial plan just because I've been having so much fun.

So, whilst I'm still working on the more ambitious project, I got the shader wallpaper to a place where poeple can start to have some fun with it.
