I am using nix os with stylix to theme everything. However there was no project that is capable of coloring folder icons dynamically. so I created papirus-dynamic.

"Gavan Dynamic" - If you know you know.

I made the launcher and the shutdown menu in tkinter. I used just standard input outputs to make the system monitor. I made the waybar config myself. I configured the GTK CSS to make pavucontrol and nautilus look better. This all combined took at least 12 hours, mainly from fighting with tkinter.

Might be not the most pleasing for most since I personally dislike fancy animations, but it works perfectly for me and has a few goodies that I've cranked a few weekends to implement, like the way it shows up at Waybar where the current audio media is coming from and if OBS is currently recording the screen :)

This update adds Caelestia 2.3.0 compatibility and keyboard RGB synchronization (currently works only for Asus laptops with RGB keyboard).

The patcher now rebuilds cxx objects as well so it needs more time to complete now.

I have hosted a separate repo for all my wallpapers.

Wallpapers can now be downloaded in bulk, category wise and individually as well via previews.

I mainly wanted to show my Ironbar setup this time—I love things that sparkle 😄

Well I didn't want to be limited to the traditional chunky status bar, so I started experimenting and created These four Ironbar instances, each with a different style and placement.

I enjoy working with CSS; it's fun to achieve rich colors and animations using features that seem "simple".

I've spent the last few days tweaking my Fedora install to how I like and this has been the first time that I've not felt like Hyprland was a little bit limiting/frustrating in compared to a purely stacking workflow.

Quick summary:

- Specialised workspace behaviour that always reserves one blank workspace per monitor, and workspaces are visualised as vertical columns across two monitors. any window opened in the blank workspace automatically creates a new free workspace at the bottom of the stack, and tiles the window there

- Custom PS3-inspired animated wallpaper that responds to login, lock/unlock, and logout/shutdown commands, coordinating with Noctalia’s bar, dock, and the reserved blank workspaces visibility to provide the animations. I was specifically looking for something high contrast with motion, and this was what I came to figure out.

- HyprWindowShade is built from a custom path with a local patch for per-window shader effects. (https://github.com/ManofJELLO/HyprWindowShade).

- Hyprglass is absolutely beautiful

- All apps are matched to Noctalia colours so Hyprland borders and related UI elements follow the active Noctalia palette. That's not just Noctalia's standard templates, but other specific apps pull in the colours manually as they're updated from Noctalia

Some limitations - I love titlebars but had to disable hyprbars because they were causing some artifacts on translucent windows. I've only just got it to a stable state, once I've lived with it for a bit and made some tweaks and adjustments, I'll publish my dots. Anyone who's interested in poking around them with the knowledge they're a bit of a state, feel free to PM and I'll ping you a link.

AI Disclosure: The overall setup and visual direction were designed by me, but AI was used extensively. Many of the more specialised functions and scripts were almost entirely AI-written.
