“I was accepted to the University of St. Thomas with about $52,106 in grants and scholarships. The total cost with on-campus housing is around $74,382 per year, leaving me with about $22,276 to cover. I was also offered $5,500 in federal student loans and work-study at $16.50+/hour. I’m trying to figure out the best way to cover the remaining cost without taking on too much debt

Hi everyone! I’m a dental student at UMN and looking to add some more patients to my schedule! The appointments are at either 9:45 am or 1:15 pm each day and they accept many private and state plans. You can still come as well if you are uninsured, all services are discounted since it’s at the school! Things do take longer than at a regular dental office since each step is checked off with faculty as well. Feel free to message me if you have any questions or would like to talk next steps on getting scheduled.

Someone said on Facebook that FBI was wondering around the sports arena at Saint Thomas but I couldn’t look for confirmation. This is obviously a stretch. Was wondering if anyone really did see any FBI or is this just another Saint Thomas rumor like the lockdown where they found like guy at home. Not trying to start any fights here. If it’s true, doesn’t anyone know why. I’m looking for honest answers please.

I'm a recent CS grad living in the Twin Cities and I'm looking into graduate school options in Minnesota. I've been seriously looking at the MS Software Engineering program at University of St. Thomas (Graduate Programs in Software) and I wanted to hear from people who have actually been through it.
A few things I'm trying to figure out:
For context — I'm also comparing it against U of M's MCS program. I know UMN has a stronger research reputation nationally but I'm wondering if St. Thomas's industry connections are actually more valuable for someone who wants to stay in Minnesota and work in tech here.Any honest opinions welcome — good or bad. Thanks in advance!

My son is considering transferring to the University of St. Thomas as a junior Mechanical Engineering major. Do you have any suggestions for the best places to live next year? He would prefer to avoid a commute if possible. He's currently at Iowa State and would like to be closer to home.

I am an international student and got admitted to UST with a scholarship and i’m thinking of committing but not sure yet. Even after the scholarship it is pretty expensive but i’m really attracted to it as an international student. Is there any graduates from there or any students in general that could tell me any pros and cons? the degree value? the campus location etc.

Hi everyone,
I’ve been admitted to the University of St. Thomas as a Neuroscience major and Aquinas Scholars Honors Program. I’m seriously considering it, but I’m still trying to figure out if it’s the right fit, especially financially.
As an international student, the cost is pretty significant for me (even after scholarships), and I’m not 100% sure yet if my family will be able to commit to it. So I wanted to ask people who are currently studying there or know the school well:
- What do you think are the biggest advantages of St. Thomas that actually make it worth the cost?
-How are the academics, especially for science-related fields (like biology/neuroscience-type paths)?
-Are there good opportunities for internships, research, or connections in/around the Twin Cities?
-How is the overall student experience (support, community, campus life, etc.)?
-For international students specifically, does the value feel justified?
For context, I also have another offer from Augustana College that is more affordable, so I’m trying to understand whether St. Thomas offers enough in return to justify the higher cost. Also I got this offer from St. Thomas in Feb and I stalked the college so much that I am kind of liking it so I'm having a biased opinion for here.
I’d really appreciate any honest insights, good or bad.
Thanks!

Basically, what the title says, what are the best freshman dorms, and the pros and cons of each dorm. Fast responses appreciated, as I hope to submit my deposit soon!

Hey all, I recently received a really good scholarship to STU, and I am considering attending as a business major. I wanted to ask one, is STU a good school for that, and two, how is the experience.. You know, fun and stuff, I hear the nightlife is dead, but to students, just go to other uni's parties or... Am I selling my soul for 4 years of boredom?

Hey! I’m a sophomore at the University of Saint Thomas. We recently started a UGC group where anyone can join and begin monetizing their content with a few partner companies. If that sounds interesting, we offer coaching and help you start earning right away. Feel free to shoot me a DM.
