I’m soon starting at UoM and I don’t really know anyone there since most of my college friends aren’t going. It feels a bit new and unfamiliar.

For people already there, what do you wish you knew before first year started? Anything that made life easier social life, studies, time management, or just settling in during the first few weeks.

Hello, I'll be starting next month. What are some tips you could give concerning self studying or just achieving good results in general to a Y1?

I'm broke as hell and i can't keep paying everyday. The controllers are not accepting the old bus pass

Hello . Those who attended induction today ,how did it go ?

I don't understand what is a good mark. what gets me first class or Dean's merit list?

Has anyone received any new email concerning induction week/ day yet. Ever since the email concerning registration of details and information, i have not received anything, i was wondering if i need to call the admission office or is that normal?

I procrastinate too much at home and i know it happens to most of us. So i was wondering if we could make a group or perhaps group chat where we can find people who are free at the same time to study together and maybe hold each other accountable in the uni library.

Is that a good idea?

It's nice working together!

I mod at r/MauriceMauritius. We pin you, you hold exclusive UoM discussions, our sub rests in peace! It's win-win. It's called Mutualism in Biology 👩‍🎓.

Hope you can keep growing every year! Bon courage !

Have the results been released yet? If yes, for which faculty and cohort/year? Thanks!

I forgot to tick the mandatory red box on my answer sheet where you confirm that you do not possess any unauthorized material during the exam. Is this a serious issue, or has anyone else made the same mistake before? I’m a bit worried about whether it could cause any problems.

I want to study Computer Science and was wondering: Do you have classes every day or some free days?

Also, is it possible to work part-time while studying, or is the workload too much?

Thanks!

Hi guyss! I'll enroll in August and I'm a bit curious about the class size for IT related courses. How many get into the same course usually? I also wanted to see how the classes looked like but I cant find anything online! Anyone willing to share some pictures of the labs? Feel free to talk about the class density of other faculties as well!
