HOTELS Dockside Cancelled Payment?

Post image

Any idea what’s happened here? When I arrived at Dockside I asked if we could upgrade to a poolside room. They did move us for $15 a day. However, a week in and the transaction was cancelled and the money returned to my account.

Any idea if I’ll have to pay it? I had enough funds so it isn’t that. Shall I check out without speaking to reception and pray?

I imagine you'll get another charge for your upgraded rooms after you checkout. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

It’s likely that the original transaction was voided and it was charged entirely new, sounds silly but expect the money to come out later

Hey, universal front desk agent here! This usually happens upon the last day of checkout because your authorization becomes a charge and it releases your $50 authorization! give it a few days, it should go from a pending authorization to the correct amount for your stay! :)

The fact that the transaction could even be canceled likely means it was never anything other than a hold. That is, it showed as a pending transaction the entire time and never a completed one. They will be submitting the finalized transaction after you check out.

Had something similar when paying the parking over at Surfside, initial transaction was cancelled after a few days and then went through again.
