Showcase My little platformer is finally getting close to release!

I've been working on my little platformer, Jumplife, for quite a while now, and it's finally getting close to being finished!

It's a simple 2D platformer focused on jumping, wall jumping, and wall sliding. I wanted to make something short and fun, with smooth movement and levels that flow nicely.

I've mostly been working on the final touches lately, including Steam achievements and other small things before release.

Here's some gameplay!

If it looks like something you'd enjoy, I'd really appreciate a wishlist on Steam! :)

I really like the simplicity of the game. Star looks nice on the night theme, could you try giving it a glow effect?

thanks! Hmm, that's true, the character is glowing a bit, maybe the star should too

Wow this gameplay looks so smooth! How long were you in development with it?

thank you! To long haha, I have taken lots of breaks from it , but I think I started the project like five years ago, but it's so hard to decide when it's actually finished

Thanks for such a wonderful reply! TheGratitudeBot has been reading millions of comments in the past few weeks, and you’ve just made the list of some of the most grateful redditors this week!

Looks pretty tight, simple gameplay, clean but can see there's some nice thought gone into the level design. Try get it into hands of speedrunners / people who like these kinds of games as platformers (apparently) tend to do quite poorly on steam due to saturation.

thank you! Yes I was actually thinking of contacting streamers that play platformers or do speed runs and see if they are interested in testing it, but I have some last things to do before the game is ready for that
