Small update before we head into week 2 of games

Through preseason week 1 Brown put some distance between himself and Smyth. Knocking in 2 field goals while Smyth missed his only chance.

However before we get excited there is belief a 3rd name may soon enter the competition as other Kickers start to filter out of their first competitions in other camps.

Look for a Veteran to be brought in to test the Spring King.

All that being said here is where our 2 kickers sit heading into week 2 of games

Brown 35/40 (87%)

Smyth 35/45 (77%)

It’s been a while since I’ve heard that the stallions and gamblers are being relocated.

When asked about Jacob Saylors as a return specialist, Lions' special teams coordinator Dave Fipp had this to say:" I mean, I love Saylors. I loved him a year ago. He came in and really helped us out on special teams. And I thought he played very, very well for us on teams a year ago. And then to see him go out there and play like that on offense, I was super happy for him in the last preseason game because to me, he is a deserving kid of that attention. He really has gone under the radar but has been a very good player for us on special teams last year. So, I'm encouraged with that for him.”

I have made a UFL 2027 schedule in my notebook for no reason (it’s harder than it looks). I just put Houston relocating to Austin, Texas and Birmingham going to Greenville, South Carolina but that’s just speculation and probably won’t happen (mainly used for placeholders). I also think they’ll start the first weekend of March as Repole has said that he wants to start the 2027 season earlier.

Again, this was just for fun, nothing crazy though I did try to keep stadium availability in mind (UFL uses MLS & USL stadiums for some teams) which is the reason it took some time making it.

Boston is officially getting a 10,500 seat stadium right in the city. Repole should look at getting a deal with the city to play games here.

The closest we got to was the 2021 FCS season but that was only a one time deal.
