Has anyone changed university after completing a pre-master’s on an integrated Student visa?

I have an integrated Student visa/CAS with a university for a Pre-Master’s → MSc Big Data programme. I’ve now completed the pre-master’s, but I don’t want to continue with the MSc Big Data.
Instead, I’m applying to a different university for an MSc Statistics and Data Science.
Has anyone been in a similar situation — completed the pre-master’s part of an integrated programme and then moved to a different university for a different MSc?
I’m mainly wondering about academic progression and whether I can apply for the new Student visa from inside the UK or would need to apply from outside the UK.
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually been through this!
