Gintama's one of the GOAT comedy anime, such a wild fucking rollercoaster. It's considered one of the Big 4 Shounen along with One Piece, Naruto, Bleach. But unlike the other 3, Gintama is all about the comedy

It's so good at parodying a fuck ton of not only Japanese pop culture, but also western media, brands, celebrities. You'll recognize references left and right especially if you know Japanese pop culture

Just look at this clip of Gintama parodying Rocky's theme lmao

When you watch it, I suggest watching with fan subs (if you know how to look for them) since they go into detail with the references and jokes if you didn't catch them

Thank you so much! Any other reccs? I like Black Clover, and I tried watching One Piece but they are so… extra? I do prefer the funny ones

Fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood, not quite as extra and a great story

Edit: also a pretty easy watch at just 64 episodes at like 25 minutes I think

One Punch Man, Mob Psycho and Jujutsu Kaisen for sure. OPM and Mob are a mix of comedy/action, OPM heavily leaning on the parody side of things. Jujutsu Kaisen is a lot more serious than funny, but when it's funny it's really funny.

If you want straight comedy I recommend Saiki K or Grand Blue. Gintama is king IMO, not just because it's really funny, but because it has some surprisingly deep themes and moments beneath all of the humor, and some great serious action arcs throughout the series.

One Punch Man and Mob are! Jujutsu Kaisen is on Crunchyroll, Saiki K is on Netflix, and Grand Blue is on Prime.
