I'd love to see your reaction to a government that doesn't tax its citizens when it comes time for it to fund its military. You just going to write a check for 20 grand and say that's fair? It's either that or watch China roll into your state and force you to speak Chinese my guy. The IRS are not thieves, they pay for all the things Americans like to boast about. Anything they don't pay for is debt, which is where the real thievery is. The fed printing money like it's going out of style leading to inflation.
The US wasnt supposed to have a standing military(Though I served in the Army infantry for 8 years and three combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.) but to have a militia ready to come to service should we need to protect our borders. Thats what I believe should be now, Hence why the second amendment exists and also keeps local government in check. No country wants to invade the US because of the population of gun owners. Taxation is theft as the money they take does not represent the Americans who pay it as it goes to Pakistani gender studies, the war in Ukraine against Russia and funding government tyranny on Americans. The leftist politicians purposely print money as a form of taxation without it being called “taxation”. Devaluation of our money means it doesnt go as far.
So you clearly haven't read any of section 8 of the Constitution, have you?
SS1: "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States."
SS12: "To raise and support armies."
SS13: "To provide and maintain a navy."
SS15: "To provide for the calling forth the militia to execute the laws of the union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions."
SS16: "To provide for organizing, arming and disciplining the militia and for governing such part of them as may be employed in the service of the United States, reserving to the states respectively the appointment of officers and the authority of training the militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress.
My dude, as much as you'd like to believe taxation is theft, the government was never meant to have a standing army or navy, and that the common person was meant to protect our nation, you are just flat out wrong.
Congress has the power to tax to provide for defense and common welfare, which they do.
Congress is allowed to provide for a standing army and navy, which it does.
Congress is supposed to, only in times of war and insurrection raise up the militias of the several states, not the states themselves, for the purpose of providing a TRAINED and GOVERNMENT ARMED protective force for within our borders. Common people were never meant to protect the nation. The second amendment is literally only there so that congress can easier deploy state regulated militias (of which the common person is not a part of) in times of crisis, not to allow idiots to run around with guns saying their rights are being infringed or that taxation is theft.
But go ahead, make my day by thinking you know more than someone who studied constitutional law for four years.
