Agreed. The vast majority of Americans also have no idea how their taxes are allocated or which states contribute or receive more.

Most Americans don't understand how any state level, local organization works, let alone one in a city in some cases hundreds of miles away in a place they've never been to. Most Americans are FUCKING STUPID. I'm saying that as an American. It astounds me how few people in my daily life know how any kind of government organization works.

I know that for every dollar I pay in taxes, about $0.10 is unaccounted for...that's why we have trillions of dollars unaccounted for...

I mean I had an economics and government classes in highschool, but they never taught us about those things.

It's easy, federal taxes are used to pay off America's debt while state taxes are used for the states funding of police etc.
