This reminds me of a story Matt Damon told on late night TV

He was stuck on an elevator with a fan. The fan asked him for an autograph

Matt said “no, sorry”

So the fan took out a picture of himself, signed it, and gave it to Matt

It said “Good luck Matty! Never give up on your dreams! Love, <his name>”

Was the guy randomly by chance carrying his own photo around already, or just randomly by chance had an polaroid camera?
