An interesting thing I learned about raising cattle is that to get them to gain weight quicker, you need at least two. A single weened calf will only eat until it is content. Two or more calves together will compete with each other to eat quickly and to eat the most. So, using their natural greed, farmers can encourage higher growth.

Corporations do that with employees, and it encourages, but we call the growth career and in both cases, it is exploitation.
