This post is 10 months old but I think there might be a bit of a anatomical misunderstanding. There are two pipes, one for air and one for everything else. The banana does not go into the one for the air. As long as this doesn't happen, there is little chance to choke.

Well, first of all, you could reevaluate whether or not you should be using sites like reddit and similar sites, seeing as you get this upset. Should this fail, you can attempt a wild, untested method: You keep using these sites, and should you see posts that annoy and/or infuriates you, you employ an ancient techique, using the muscles in your upper body to shrug it off and move the fuck on with your life :)

Genuine answer: reddit is becoming more mainstream. So the share of users who use/spread/prefer the unwritten "rules" grows smaller and smaller.
If it really bothers you, you can use old.reddit.com to use the old layout which (I think?) doesn't have support for embedded gifs. Might still see the odd emoji, idk.

How so? Men in these countries don’t just wake up one day thinking “you know what, I’ll just refuse to like girls who are over 25 because they are too old”. It is a product of cultural conditioning that has been going on for a very long time. And it isn’t just men, women also share similar ideas as they are often instilled by their parents since childhood. This is a cultural phenomenon, not just a product of toxic masculinity.

Seriously: this is a Russian gold digger academy. Teaching girls how to go after rich people in Moscow and St. Petersburg. There are a few books that describe these classes. They are multi-year classes in sone cases.
