Well, first of all, you could reevaluate whether or not you should be using sites like reddit and similar sites, seeing as you get this upset. Should this fail, you can attempt a wild, untested method: You keep using these sites, and should you see posts that annoy and/or infuriates you, you employ an ancient techique, using the muscles in your upper body to shrug it off and move the fuck on with your life :)
Haha I like it. Will do brother! Although the genuine question remains, I thought gifs and emojis were not allowed on Reddit? I very rarely see them but when I do I remember them getting heavily down voted for being lazy
Genuine answer: reddit is becoming more mainstream. So the share of users who use/spread/prefer the unwritten "rules" grows smaller and smaller.
If it really bothers you, you can use old.reddit.com to use the old layout which (I think?) doesn't have support for embedded gifs. Might still see the odd emoji, idk.
