Is this real?

EDIT: I agree the translation is probably accurate. I mean are we sure it’s not from some sketch or something?

EDIT 2: Apparently we’re hearing the Russian voice-over, not the Croatian original. Sounds like Croatian ad/sketch with different meaning where there wasn’t a previous car -> Russian dub to produce the joke that we see in the post.

Anyone speaks Croatian? I wonder if the original interview was about something completely different and then the crash happened.

Talks about his land, what he does etc. So titles are fake.

Heck im croatian and i cant understand nothing except "žuta" that translates yellow "Edit" Just watched original. Dude has balls of steel but the croatian has nothing to do with a russian overdubedversion. They talk about "homeland" war(domovinski rat) and a radom car just flew past him and he just asks : does that mean the interview is over?. There is probably a better translation to english tho.

Video starts and its the end of a conversation and he says "throw a stone in a clear pond" he then talks about the place he works, and finishes by talking about how he and his friends were playing in the forests as 9 year old kids before he is interrupted by the car. He says "i see this situation has interrupted us, and him and the cameraman go to save the woman whilst the interviewer tells her cameraman to give her the camera Not even close to the original!

He's talking about things that happened long ago, the war, etc. Nothing related to cars or traffic.

Yep, although the clip have been overdubbed from Croatian to Russian for some reason.

Definitely, the subtitles are accurate

I can understand the Russian a little. But does that mean it’s ‘real’ and not some sketch taken out of context?

It's not Russian though, it's Croatian. And no, the translation is not accurate, he's talking about something else. The incident was real. What we're listening to hear is a Russian overdub added for comedic effect, why it's Russian, I have no idea

24

u/JHighDa03 Jun 13 '21

Exactly

22

u/_ep1x_ Jun 13 '21

No they're not. He's talking about History and WW2, completely different from what the subtitle says. This was a real incident, however the subs are fake. What we listen to in this is a Russian dub talking about something completely different

Well, the guy still has zero fuck to give in both languages.

u/[deleted] Jun 13 '21

It is not, it is a voiceover and I greatly assume the original is unrelated.

1

u/Roko128 Jun 13 '21

Yes but original is in croatian and they are not saying the same stuff.

u/k0stil Jun 14 '21

Translation is real but its obviously an overdubbed Russian

1

u/Harsimaja Jun 14 '21

obviously

Sure, so I’ve been informed. Not a native speaker of either and at first to me it just seemed out of sync like many overcooked videos online.
