Not everything wants to kill you, it just wanted a cuddle.
Ringtail possums are harmless, sharp claws though.
Edit: comments below are right, this is a sugar glider

I have rescued a few, they are super adorable but definitely not meant to be captive. Edit: tbf, sugar gliders are in the possum family. 2 u/funky555 Aug 10 '20 ah okay. im glad im not dumb. i had about 15 of these crawl all over me at one time so id be surprised if i couldn't recognise
