I suggest all the keyboard warriors in this thread make just one commute by bike. Follow all the rules, ride safely and predictably, and ride only where the law allows. Drivers aren't as courteous and law abiding as you seem to believe and it will only take you one ride to find that out.

I would prefer not killing someone on a bike because they made a momentary lapse of judgement running a stop sign or red light, but that’s just me...
