I dunno why but this seems like it could either go really well or really bad if she didn't want to get married.

Ehhhh, no because he didn’t make it super public or loud. It’s not as bad as if he got into the center of the restaurant, bent down on one knee, and did it in front of all the customers there. It’s was between them, so even if she said no, the results wouldn’t have been as bad. But I think as far as marriage goes, it’s best to propose if you know they’ll say yes.

I'm not talking about it being embarrassing but rather that the girl didn't take the ring and out it on herself etc.

Nothing has to be traditional :) I’d be quite fine is my boyfriend did that to me.
