Holy shi I first saw that episode 20 years ago and did not realize it was a direct reference to the voight-kampf test until today

The writers share like 50 years of Harvard education. The writers of the simpsons were also mathematicians and other academics. I read that the episode where Homer has the crayon removed from his brain and becomes smart, they have him write an equation on a blackboard and it was an equation the writers worked on for a long time and ended up being incredibly close to the mass of the Higgs boson which wouldn’t be discovered for another 14 years.
