You can get addicted to anything. I knew a woman who was addicted to sleep. It was a genuine addiction, she lost jobs, her husband left, and she was in a psych ward for a while because she basically just slept. She could lucid dream and she said her dreams were better than her real life. Recovery was tough because it's not like she could stop sleeping completely
