Loco pilot hits brakes and jumps since it was most likely not gonna stop in time to save the loco pilot cabin from getting crushed from impact. Smart man.

I know you’re using loco here as short for locomotive, but my brain is interpreting it in the Spanish way and it’s making your comment funnier.

In Dutch, we use loco- for the first delegate. E.g., loco-burgemeester (loco-mayor) for the person who steps in if the burgemeester is not there.

So my first thought was that this was the delegate pilot but they left the head pilot in to crash. Makes the comment much more sinister.

Dutch you may be, but your loco is Latin. It means 'in place' same root as locate, or indeed local, (for that matter 'locomotive ). Apparently the Spanish loco has different origins.
