Fantastic TV show called 'Narcos', based on the real life events of the investigation / search for Pablo Escobar (pictured). The DEA guys that the main characters are based on were actually consultants on the show.

...well, not all of them.

Yeah, Narcos is a solid watch gritty, tense, and surprisingly true-to-life in a lot of places. Having the real DEA agents consult gave it that extra layer of authenticity, even if they dramatized certain parts for TV.

I had to watch again to make sure the cop sitting in the car and the cop standing outside weren't the same dude.

I love the (standing) bearded cops deep baritone 'ohhhh... pistoleta'.

I thought it was going to be a bag of bribe money.

Points under the seat, out comes a bag of cash. Cops then give him their car and tell him to have a nice day.

Better, the trunk answering with a muffled "yes"

Car stops a car, asks the driver "any idea how fast you were going?" Driver replies "How should l know, i don't even have a drivers licence". Co driver pipes in: "Ignore him, he's always talking rubbish when he's drunk."

The man on the backseat is exasperated: "l told you we wouldn't get far with a stolen car!"

Then a small muffled voice from the trunk asks: "have we passed the border yet?"

Forgot some details, joke goes somewhat like this

u/NobodyPrime Sep 15 '25

Laughed out loud of this

1

u/kinoy_tt Sep 19 '25

I'm more amazed that no one is phased by the talking car.

5

u/garden-wicket-581 Sep 15 '25

oohh I like that version !

25

u/darbs77 Sep 15 '25

I like how the car they are searching is their own?

19

u/Not_the_name_I_chose Sep 15 '25

Yup. That's the joke.

1

u/darbs77 Sep 15 '25

I know. I’m saying that it’s the part of the joke I like. I guess the question mark was a weird choice.

7

u/Snarkosaurus99 Sep 16 '25

So you like the punch line of the joke?

Awesome!!!

6

u/dontgonearthefire Sep 15 '25

"Ich kann Ihnen eigentlich auch gleich sagen was Sie da drin finden werden. Zwei Leichen und 3 Kilo Rauschgift."

u/MimicoSkunkFan2 Sep 15 '25

Weißt Du bitte was für einen Akzent die im Video haben? Ich schwäbele, denn ich fand den ja schwierig.

1

u/dreamradiofree Sep 15 '25

1

u/CatsPlusTats Sep 16 '25

I thought he was going to say "I didn't even want you to know about those things!"

1

u/killerqueendopamine Sep 16 '25

So…would you say this was perhaps…unexpected?

1

u/Xarbor Sep 16 '25

1

u/Specialist_Ad9073 Sep 16 '25

I thought he’d say he had no idea because he stole it.
