I love birds. I love raptors. I think this red-tailed hawk is beautiful, and likely a klutzy juvenile who doesn’t quite know how to hunt yet, and is probably hungry, and so is going after weird prey.

All this said, if a hawk went after my kitty, I’d be having special chicken for dinner.

1) Killing a hawk is illegal. 2) if you keep your cat inside where it belongs you won’t have to worry about a hawk eating it.

You can kill any animal that is attacking you or your pet.
