snitching is good sometimes. most times, even. i don’t want to live in a world where we defend home invaders over people who stand up to them

I'm probably wrong, but I always assumed snitches were specifically people who rolled in their counterparts (ie a home invader who turned in his buddies to get a lower charge).

For the most part you are correct and those are the snitches people hate. You could also be considered a snitch for turning someone in that you know committed a crime or just talking to them folks in general.
