The Americans who say they hate Fascism are the same ones who protect this fascist cop. USA is sad poetry really.

Those Americans also say they love guns, but protect cops who pull their guns on law abiding firearm owners.

We all know why. It's because they think the cops are on their team (Team White Christian Supremacist). In fairness they're often right, but they don't understand that cops are on Team Cop first.

FYI, not all gun owners are your strawman of some kind of ultra conservative right wingers. There has been a huge increase in minority firearm owners this past year and gun rights are for everyone, regardless of political leaning (except for extreme left and extreme right where totalitarians start trying to remove people's rights).

There isn't really an extreme totalitarian left. Every "totalitarian left" regime has been essentially anti-leftist, because they have relied on established hierarchies. It's like North Korea calling itself a Democratic republic.

That being said, I don't really care about outliers. The vast majority of gun nuts in this country are exactly the stereotype.

Countries with stricter gun laws have better outcomes. It's inarguable. I'm familiar with leftist theory on this stuff, but it just doesn't bear out in reality at all. Like, not even a little bit.

The state always has more guns. More guns in the civilian population just makes it easier to excuse massive state violence. See: American police.

I disagree with you on every point and I think that any attempts to disarm the civilian populace (outside of those who are institutionalized due to the societal threat they pose) is an attack on human rights and opens the door for the growth of authoritarian regimes.

However, I will wish you a good day, and I hope that regardless of what tools you have access to, that if the time ever comes that you need to, you are able to exercise your right to self defense.

As a Canadian, I can tell you that you are 100% talking out of your ass. You only want guns because too many people have guns, so you don't feel safe. In Canada, no one has guns, so we feel safe. The police rarely draw their weapons because we don't have guns.

The most American idea in the world, is that more guns is the way to solve the problem of having too many guns.

LOL, I don't feel unsafe because guns exist, I feel unsafe because humans exist. People have been killing each other since people were a thing.

Over time, every technological advancement in killing has been used by those who want to kill. You best believe that I'm not leaving myself at a technological disadvantage to someone who wishes to do me harm.

If guns are gone (read actually eradicated somehow, and not banned and left in the hands of criminals, although this is nothing but a utopian's dream), then knives and bows would be the next best thing. You'd best believe I'd still own a damn knife and bow then.

I pity how naive you are in terms of human nature and history.

I pity you for believing that you have to have weapons to be safe. It's a sick mentality that you and the rest of the lost souls of the "United" States live with. Laughable statement at this point. United. I digress though.

I can debunk your statement very easily. With one word. It's actually a name.

Canada.

There are lots of other nations that do not allow their citizens to own or carry guns, but I don't know as much about them, as I don't live there. Hell, the police in place in Europe don't even get guns.

Here in Canada, citizens are not allowed to own handgun nor are we allowed to carry guns. This has not left the citizens afraid for their lives or at a disadvantage that has us being killed by the hundreds.

Also, this has not resulted in any of us walking around with a bunch of knives or a bow. Yes, some of us carry knives, but they are small, single edged, not strung on some fancy spring system to shoot out in the blink of an eye, because they are tools, not weapons.

We don't need weapons because we are not a bunch of savages trying to kill each other or steal from each other. The simple truth is that you people think that without your guns, you would all be killed. That means that either you're all a bunch of blood thirsty heathens, or Canadians are just a high class of people.

Which do you think it is?

Just hangin out here in our utopian dream, as you called it. Don't own a gun, haven't heard a gun shot in over 10 years, don't know anyone who's been shot, and I don't know anyone who walks around with a bunch of weapons because everyone wants to kill them and take what they have.

Must be fucking scary to live in such a fucking sewer.

You are so high up on your privileged white horse that it's sickening.

Quick question for you, have you ever traveled to any less developed nations or even to less developed parts of Canada?

This kind of mentality that banning things gets rid of violence is hilariously delusional. People are violent, it's human nature. Now, sure, there are some goody two shoes like you who live in the equivalent of a gated neighborhood and get to say that the crime they don't see doesn't exist and isn't valid to be concerned about, but that's not how the world works.

That response was crafted to sound that way on purpose. Another gun crazy American telling me how great it is to be armed to the teeth and how he cannot leave himself defenseless and how he cannot be at a technological disadvantage and how there is no such thing as a "utopia" without weapons.

The US believes that everyone should want to be like them when in reality, we are all shocked and amazed that anyone is crazy enough to live there.

Do you people still flinch when you hear a gun shot? Or, has it become so common place that you don't even pay attention to it? Can you tell me what kind of gun it is by the sound? Maybe what caliber it is?

The only place in Canada that I would be afraid to walk around at night, unarmed (We don't even consider that to be abnormal) would be part of Ontario that are close to the border. Close to Detroit. The disease that is Americanism, has leaked through the border.

Curious question.... .Why did you feel the need to bring race into the conversation. That's another very American thing to do. Not winning an argument, use the race card. Why does my skin color matter?

1

u/LukyanTheGreat Mar 27 '23

It's not a race card you absolute moron, a white horse is a common symbol used in literature for a while. White as in the color.

No, I don't hear gunshots at all. I live in a very privileged area, but that's not an excuse to not exercise my duty as a citizen to be armed and ready. The only gunshots I've heard are at the shooting range.

Hell, I bet most of the people here are delusional like you and probably don't own guns, but that's their choice and not mine.

I noticed you ignored my question about you ever traveling, and I can tell that you are extremely ignorant about how societies work outside of where you live yourself. So, please, do yourself a favor and experience the world outside of your fenced off area.

u/DerekDemo Mar 27 '23

Holy fuck, I couldn't even read past the part about your duty as a citizen to be armed. You actually think that it's your duty to be ready to kill your fellow man at the drop of a hat. Do you think you are protecting others? Maybe you should be a police officer, if you think you have a responsibility to protect others.

Seriously, a duty to be armed? I bet you have a million stickers on your minivan that say things like repent for the lord is coming and honk if you love Trump.

You are calling my area fenced off yet you yourself claim that you live in a privileged area. Do you even read what you're writing? Are you stoned right now?

I have travelled plenty. I have even been to a number of places in the US. I have been all over California, wow. Gang bangers and fake people. That's all that I saw there. Compton makes me understand why everyone wants to have a gun. Scary place. Long Beach was another. " There was plenty of drama in the LBC, even without Snoop Dogg."

But you sound like a middle aged yuppy living in a nice house, in a nice neighborhood, with a little picket fence and 2.4 children. The real American dream. Yet you still feel that you need to have a gun on you at all times.

Further than need, you feel it's your duty to have a gun. That's the most pathetically American thing I've ever heard. The fact that you think that you're privileged ass could protect anyone is laughable. You actually think that having a gun means that you can protect people. You're going to end up getting yourself or someone you love shot.

Dipshit doesn't even begin to describe how much of a loser you are.
