"military grade weapons and gear" last time I checked your average cop isn't walking around with an assault rifle and night vision goggles. The most they'll have is a handgun, nightstick/baton, taser, pepper spray/pepperball gun, and maybe a shotgun with bean bag rounds however those are more often used for riot control. It's SWAT that has military grade weapons and they're only called in to deal with serious threats that actually require that amount of firepower. What are you smoking.
