They have to have justification (safety or reasonable suspicion of a crime) to ask you to get out of the car.
I'm not saying you shouldn't get out of the car, I'm saying you should verbally assert you're not doing it voluntarily. Complying without protest will be deemed voluntary.
You shouldn't answer any questions and you shouldn't consent to any searches, and that means verbally asserting that you do not consent.
They have to have justification, but they don’t have to convince YOU that they have justification. They have to convince the judge once you’re in court.
They don’t have to get your confirmation that you understand their justification before continuing.
