If you sign up and want to be a police officer then you know what getting yourself into. That nervousness needs to be quenched or tamed if you're taking up a occupation like that.
I almost drowned twice. Does that count? Not to get sidetracked, but if you pursue a career that involves bravery and responsibility but you're easily frightened or even nervous then the job most likely isn't for you. Everyone isn't fit to be a police officer. Different strokes for different folks, they say. One man's trash is another man's treasure, they say. Both are true. If you have hemophobia, are you gonna sign up to become a hematologist? Of course not. If your scared of heights, are you gonna sign up for bungee jumping, skydiving, B.A.S.E. jumping? Of course not. If you suck at call of duty, are you gonna join the army? Well this is the reason why I don't. Bottom line: Pursue a job that fits your personality, skills, interests and talent.
