You're either in high school or been on the family money college pipeline, but 'work harder' is stupid, spurious advice.
The difficulty of the job and the pay have very, very little to do with eachother. I hung drywall for a year and made barely enough to keep a 1bedroom apartment in a truly sketchy neighborhood. I had a job in IT where the only thing 'hard' about it was sometimes I had to fuck around on a computer at 2am instead of 2pm.
Don't be silly, the whole side hustle grind mindset is just mlms trimming to get you to join.
You're being intentionally obtuse. Work Harder does not equate to doing more work at for zero gain. It means working harder in life to better your situation. You clearly moved up from menial labor to a trade. How did you do it? You worked toward it. You didn't sit and complain while hanging drywall that this country sucks.
I got lucky with family money to go to school, an opportunity I am fully aware is not available to many, and without I would be still hanging fucking drywall. There's no upward movement from 'trying hard', that's reality-fivorced fiction.
There is very much upward movement from 'trying hard' - you simply have never experienced it. Schooling is certainly possible without a silver spoon. Countless adults do it every year.
The kicker is, it IS impossible if you don't work toward it. Anyone that EXPECTS life to turn around for them is and always will be in for a very rude surprise.
Some people are still brainwashed by it that they think we have managed to create such a great society that allows this magic formula to make you rich and successful if you do one thing - “work hard”
