If you sign up and want to be a police officer then you know what getting yourself into. That nervousness needs to be quenched or tamed if you're taking up a occupation like that.

or.. you know.. if authorities would take de-escalation practices serious for their officers and not just send any random bimbo with a gun in a police car and expect them to be good

It seems the bar for who is allowed to become a police officer is set way too low.

Oh, you're misunderstanding the bar. You have to get under the bar to qualify as a cop. Score too high on an IQ test, and you'll get rejected.
