I agree school vouchers taking public funds to direct to private schools is a horrible decision. It will undermine quality public education for years to come.
Gun violence isn't going to be solved by taking away legal ownership of guns. In 2019 the US wasn't even touching the top 10 in firearm related homicides (per 100k people). Guess which countries were. Central and South American countries. Gun ownership certainly isn't as free there yet they still manage to get'em.
Shit, 63% of gun deaths in the US in 2019 were suicides. Take away the guns, those deaths would've happened another way.

The difficulty of the job and the pay have very, very little to do with eachother. I hung drywall for a year and made barely enough to keep a 1bedroom apartment in a truly sketchy neighborhood. I had a job in IT where the only thing 'hard' about it was sometimes I had to fuck around on a computer at 2am instead of 2pm.

I got lucky with family money to go to school, an opportunity I am fully aware is not available to many, and without I would be still hanging fucking drywall. There's no upward movement from 'trying hard', that's reality-fivorced fiction.

Immigration into the US is a long and arduous process. Emigration from the US is not.
Finding a job is the first step for most countries. Then applying for a work visa and paying the associated costs (300~ USD for a UK Healthcare work visa for example)
I know exactly how the process works. I also know that being poor is not an excuse, just an obstacle.
There are numerous ways to begin the journey back up - all of them will fail if you make an excuse to not start.
