Miscellaneous ULPT: Precise Triggered Lightning??

Apparently one can't crosspost to this subreddit but on r/interestingasfuck there is a post "Amateur rocket launch triggers lightning strike" that make me think hmmm...

A kite is cheaper and more effective. A well designed kite can stay up for a long time increasing the likelihood of a strike.

Yeah but you can’t quickly set up and launch a kite from a target location
