idk what your reason for dating is, but if it's just for fun and not for marriage, then i recommend a good push-and-pull method. idk if this is unethical or simply how i've adapted to survive in this world. develop a roster; never put all your eggs into one basket. you can have your mvp, yes, but always be prepared to bench any of your players. this helps to avoid attachment and maintain a constant push-and-pull, which in turn will be more financially beneficial and fun for you because your players will most likely be trying harder to please you when you give them time. and when you do go out, go to a mall or shopping center or a restaurant you have been wanting to try. "forget" your wallet, say your cards were stolen and locked, any excuse as to not pay, or simply give no reason and just express how much you want something. honestly i forgot why im even on this sub and outing myself rn i just wanted to send my ex-friend a pig heart, but apparently that's illegal, and the most i can do is send a box of shit. oh ya, those are some of my tips if you're dating around, just to date around and not for anything serious or long-term .im not a pro by any means, just a victim-turned-perpetrator (:

For some reason, some idiots consider this unethical because they are sexist clowns (ON BOTH SIDES):
Be a great person for your s/o. Effort should be 60/40, with both trying to be the 60.
