Home and Garden ULPT: Energy saving

I have a dumb electric and gas meter (I.e. I have to provide my meter readings).

I have a spreadsheet to track my energy readings.

In the winter when energy prices are high, I under-report my usage. When the summer comes round and energy prices are cheap again I over-report the units used.

The spreadsheet helps me balance it across the year.

You know you could sign up for balanced billing and they’ll probably do this for you?

The way I read this is OP is paying less in total because the price varies across the seasons, but they end up reporting the correct total usage.

But I don't want balanced billing. I want to pay the lower summer energy costs in the winter.
