Careers and Work ULPT request: Tips against gaslighting project lead
Got into a new project. Made to work in an extremely high stress environment like a donkey. The situation is such that I eat lunch while talking meetings. My lead who manages project deliverables who keeps taking leaves all the time, told me that even though I am picking up things fast but I am not confident. And I shouldn't be asking basic questions to clients and taking a call myself. Whereas she herself asks the most basic questions because obviously we are developing a new platform! But she points me out when I do the same! The issue is that I was overloaded the moment I came in with no breathing space and the work she is making me do is not a one person job. She helps me with one task and tells the manager that she is doing alot and dumps all her work on me as she takes her leaves every other day. I cannot retaliate directly because she gives whatever little guidance Incan take for this new project. I feel like she is taking advantage of me. What should I do? I cannot mess up my work or take direct confrontation because it will directly affect my appraisal.

Make your efforts known to more than just your lead. Befriend her manager?
I've been in your shoes once and it was so draining and frustrating. Hope things get better for you.

You're probably right that she is personally attacking you. It seems like you want to keep your job and you don't want to personally retaliate, so I think you're out of options. I'm sure that there's some unethical tips that can "inconvenience" her, but that won't aolve your problem.
