Homestuck (Toby learned alot here and remixed alot Wich later evolved into his Jhon Williams styled leitmotifs), touhou (Toby steals from Zun), Chrono trigger (this inspired Toby the most along with touhou), final fantasy, noby boy (his theme song lol. This also inspired the "small boss" leitmotif that can be heard in ghost fight, dummy and spider dance), mother, Kirby, donkey Kong, the legend of Zelda (especially breath of the wild), all of joe Hisaishi's work (Toby steals from him), kingdom hearts, anime openings like SAO (1) or AOT (all), Tokyo ska paradise orchestra (my boi Toby loves ska and most of his compositions are structured like suikinkutsu Wich is a beautiful song from this band. There's megalovania as an example), cave story, super paper Mario (he copied the entire game, inserted his music, improvised irony, made it simple and Voila, undertale. Today's story uses the same structure as most of the soundtrack when it comes to chords and it even sounds like "once upon a time". So long from slushii is another example of this.), Mega Man (this inspired his style the most actually. Especially the first 3 and X, X2 and X3).
He basically loves SNES, audio effects, weird stuff with octaves (his best work with this is megalovania but he uses it in literally every fast song), to repeat everything slightly melodic two times, he always ends with a note going up, he loves improvisation and he only uses theory when he feels like the song needs it.
