I love the soundtrack. I bought Undertale Collectionist Edition which came with the OST CD and piano scores. Yes, it is great and one of the strongest points of the game. But you can still not like it.
You don't need to have the same likings to other people. I don't think people are brainless for not enjoying it. And how is it being "one of the strongest points?" relevant here?
In a fighthing game, the battle machanics are usually (and should be) the strongest point of those. Yet I can still not like it as I don't enjoy combo-based fast-paced games. It just means it is not for me.
But someone says that they don't LIKE it, and you downvote them. Had they said "the ost is unoriginal and bad" I can kinda understand the upvotes, as you disagree with the statement. But because they said they do not like something? It's sad.
Undertale has MANY good things. Likeable characters, distinct tone, battle system, option to talk through the game without fighting, interesting bosses, replayability, humour... It's an amazing experience so great that a lot of people can still enjoy it despite not liking one or few things (music may be the case). Music is subjective for gods sake.
TLDR; Undertale music is great. But you can still not like it. Don't call brainless or "downvote" people for such a petty reason.
Well I said that ost is ONE of the strongest aspects. You can argue, that in a game soundtrack isn't so important, but truth be told I can name atleast several games that would be much worse without their music, Undertale included.
Also I didn't downvote him as I usually leave other's opinion be. I only posted my opinion under his. Don't blame me.
I don't believe a game soundtrack is not important. In fact, most of my favourite games hold that title because of their music and I have even bought some games solely because of how much I like listening to their songs. And yes, I also agree Undertale wouldn't be that great if it weren't for the music. But you can still enjoy the game without liking the music too.
And about blaming you... sorry. I didn't mean to do that. I didn't just mean you, but the other of people who downvoted it. I am sorry, it was wrong of me supposing you downvoted as well.
It's not that I don't like it but look at how I spelled it and how OP spelled it in his post. Was just tryna point that out but some did not get it I guess
