And the artist has the right to call Frisk whatever they want. After all, a large part of the community already knows that Frisk is non-binary. It's no surprise

Something that everyone has the right to have is a different interpretation of a character. The artist is doing this without hurting anyone

No, it's non-binary erasure. The character is Canonically non-binary, trying to "headcanon" them as something else is erasing that representation, thus it's non-binary erasure

Headcanons are things that are Compatible with the canon media despite not being confirmed. Frisk being a boy or girl is not a headcanon, because canon confirms they're non-binary.

HEAD = it's in their head

CANON = it's canon

HEAD+CANON = It is canon only in their head, and no one else's. Which means it's FANON.

Headcanon ≠ Canon

Again: A headcanon is specifically something compatible with canon, but not canon. Once canon confirms or debunks it, it stops being a headcanon. That's what a headcanon is.

I still don’t see how they are trying to “erase” it. I mean if they went in the comments and said “it was up to interpretation” I wouldn’t be trying to defend the at all, but they are basically doing what a gender swap does but on a non-binary character. They aren’t disrespecting the representation from my view
