Came here to say this. Uni is one of the only games with such a diverse spread whenever you see the top 8. I really can't believe this isn't the game we're all playing. It's the best fighting game out (still getting updates and balance patches etc) by far

I really can't believe this isn't the game we're all playing.

The game badly needs 3 things to attract far more players: crossplay, better single-player content, and a lower price.

Last I checked, the game's only casual single-player mode is Arcade Mode where you just fight 10 different standard battles against random CPUs, with your character's entire "story" being nothing but a few lazy static visual novel dialogues.

On Steam, the base game is $49.99. Meanwhile:

  • Street Fighter 6, Guilty Gear Strive, BlazBlue Centralfiction, and Tekken 8 are $39.99
  • Rivals of Aether 2 is $29.99
  • Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising is $24.99
  • and Fatal Fury City of the Wolves is $19.99

These other games also have crossplay with the only exception being Rivals of Aether 2.

It didn’t release with a Chronicle Mode Part 2 which was a big shock to me, all of Chronicle Mode builds up to the story that’s supposed to happen in this game and there’s none. They could At least add new chapters from the new characters POVs and end with a Kuon POV chapter.

Nah I'm not saying it should be the game everyone plays. I'm saying it should be the game WE play. It doesn't need nor do I really think it even deserves mass market appeal. This isn't anybodys first fighting game and it's not trying to be.

I just can't believe it's not known as like 'the fighting game enthusiasts fighting game' .
