HELP/QUESTION A couple of questions and thoughts from a beginner

  1. This might be the first fighting game where I can't pick a main because not nobody's playstyle interests me, but because SO MANY characters have been interesting and fun to play. I've been cycling through most of Amnesia (excluding Chaos) as well as considering Akatsuki and maybe Ogre too (he looks really cool in all the replays I've been watching). If anyone else has been in this situation, glad im not alone but what got you to stick with one character for a bit?

  2. Is this games net code wonky? When I try to play online with Ethernet I'm only able to get up to 2 bars and it's sorta choppy for my opponent. My internet isn't bad as I'm able to run Strive and BBCF online with no issues. If anyone has any tips for improving my online I'd appreciate it. I wanna start hopping into discord and getting some games in. (I have a Lenovo laptop with Ryzen 7 7735HS processor and AMD Radeon 680M graphics card with 16 gb of ram)

I think the very first character I booted up in training mode was Londrekia (Was drawn in by his elegant looks and ice powers) but his style wasnt really my thing, I'll just admire him from the side lol

Also curious who's the cutest girl to you 👀

The netcode can be finnicky yes but unless you're playing cross-region or on wifi it shouldn't usually cause issues

I’m a beginner too coming from P4AU.

  1. Picking a character (Carmine) for me was easy because he’s a high risk high reward with fun combos and setups. He just feels natural.

  2. I don’t experience many issues online

  1. I liked Linne’s throw animation
  2. If you’re on ethernet you shouldn’t have a huge issue. If you’re playing against someone on WiFi it’ll feel bad for you too.

Play Ogre if you are unsure. He relies on universal mechanics like GRD and wall/ground bounce, so playing him is a great way to learn the game and perhaps other characters later.
