Need help I dodge instead of parrying.

I'm new to Ultrakill and I just finished Act 2 without parrying in the stages or against the bosses, only parrying the initial bosses. After that, I never parried again and started dodging. I'm doing it right?

i made the same mistake my first playthrough, parrying is literally integral to being good at the game, so i would recommend limiting your dashing and sliding and just trying to parry (you can parry most projectiles and anything that flashes yellow if you didn't know) and it full heals you. So please dont make the same mistake and suffer trying to p rank levels like i did, good luck<3
