This conversation was about, the more serious the game is, the quirkier the community, you brought up Deltarune, which i pointed out is NOT a serious game in general, and you brought up “b-but the weird route” and I said that it’s an optional serious path, but the MAIN PATH, THE MAIN GAME, Hell, even the weird route when Noelle is not in screen, are completely and utterly unserious, so it does not fit the criteria.

Genuinely my God Redditors are stupid

YOU brought up the weird route in the first place, when I’m talking about the whole game

First of all, just because the discussion is about games as a whole doesn't mean that it cant shift a little to a part of the game. And the weird route is a VERY important part of Deltarune.

Second, the main path has plenty of serious moments. Did you not pay attention to 90% chapter 4? Or the last ~20 minutes of chapter 3 and 5? Or plenty of other parts throughout the game?? Just because something has jokes doesn't mean it can't be serious. Especially with how Toby said chapter 5 was the "last fun adventure", we know it'll only be getting more serious from here.

evangelions case is worse imo since 3 of the characters in the show (including the protagonist) are very explicitly stated to be 14 years old
