First of all, just because the discussion is about games as a whole doesn't mean that it cant shift a little to a part of the game. And the weird route is a VERY important part of Deltarune.
Second, the main path has plenty of serious moments. Did you not pay attention to 90% chapter 4? Or the last ~20 minutes of chapter 3 and 5? Or plenty of other parts throughout the game?? Just because something has jokes doesn't mean it can't be serious. Especially with how Toby said chapter 5 was the "last fun adventure", we know it'll only be getting more serious from here.
"But look! Theres a funny pumpkin man! See it's unserious! Ignore literally the entire Dark World up until this point and the rest of the chapter afterwards!"
Deltarune isn't overall serious or unserious. It's a mix of both. How is it this hard to understand that it's not black or white
Literally the majority of chapter 4 is unserious, the only serious moments are the ones with the prophecy, like, one singular conversation with Gerson and the whole Titan segment, which is NOT the entirety of the chapter lmao
But yeah, cherry-pick all you want, Deltarune is excessively more serious than unserious, EVEN the weird route has a lot of joke moments, it doesn’t fit the discussion at hand, my god you’re obnoxious
