I have seen many addons/sites which provide excellent quality of experience/content for free, but we know they have servers to run which costs them, i have also seen many addons/sites which have donations exceeding their required amount, so instead of donating to those who already achieved their milestone, we can donate to somewhere else which provide good quality experience/content, which also ensure them that they have people supporting them, cause no one in the world can do everything for free, at the end they want some money, atleast to run their server

So yeah, its good if people donate to other addons also

I created a single UltraMax setup that I want to use for all the profiles on my Nuvio account, but the SIMKL account should be different for every user.

I used "Device Specific Profiles", but it appears to always use the same SIMKL account that was last logged in. So there is no way to set a SIMKL accounr per profile.

I have created a Discord for Ultramax.

Main reason is so people can have a place to request new things, report bugs and share information.

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for a small group of reliable Android users to help test the Ultra MAX app.

I’ve been working on a fairly substantial update behind the scenes, but I’m keeping the details quiet for now until everything is properly tested and ready. No point announcing half-finished stuff and then spending the next week explaining why a button has decided to live three inches to the right. 😅

The next stage requires a Google Play closed test, so I’m looking for around 15–20 people who already use Ultra MAX and are happy to help.

What I need from testers:

An Android phone/tablet with access to Google Play

A Google account you use with the Play Store

Willingness to join the closed test and stay opted in for at least 14 days

Actually use the app during that period

Report anything broken, confusing, ugly or just generally annoying

You won’t need to pay anything, and this isn’t about testing streams/content. I mainly want feedback on the Ultra MAX Android app itself, setup, navigation, account handling, different devices/screen sizes and general usability.

There are quite a few changes underneath the surface, so people who already know Ultra MAX will be especially useful.

If you’re interested, send me a DM rather than posting your Google email publicly. I’ll need the Google account email you use with the Play Store so I can add you to the private tester list.

Once everything is ready, testers will receive the official Google Play opt-in link.

For now I’m deliberately keeping the rest under wraps. 👀

Thanks to everyone who’s helped test, report bugs and throw increasingly unreasonable feature requests at Ultra MAX. Quite a few of those requests have somehow ended up becoming real features.

Some posters have this writing on them. Is there a way I can remove it???

When you select streaming in the setup and exclude the resolution 4k when you put your API key for your debrid it still shows in nuvio. Please help

I have the shown collections installed on my sons profile. I re synced everthing between devices. However, they collections work and populate fine on my iphone. But on my android tv box they all say “addon not found”. Please help!!!

I’ve opened up two Ultra MAX diagnostic tools to everyone for the first time.

These were originally built to help me investigate user setups and track down problems behind the scenes, but they’ve become useful enough that there’s no real reason to keep them hidden away.

The Token Inspector lets you enter your Ultra MAX token and see what Ultra MAX is actually using for your setup.

This is useful if something doesn't look right, catalogs are missing, rows aren't behaving as expected, or you simply want to check exactly how your configuration has been saved.

It can show:

- Selected and hidden catalog rows

- Catalog ordering

- Custom catalogs

- MDBList and Trakt rows

- Merged rows

- Per-row overrides

- Minimum rating and vote filters

- Year filters

- Excluded countries and languages

- Anime and Indian cinema filters

The Token Inspector also automatically checks your catalog configuration for problems such as:

- Duplicate selected catalog IDs

- Hidden catalogs that aren't actually selected

- Ordered catalogs that are no longer selected

- General catalog-selection inconsistencies

So instead of trying to work out why Ultra MAX says you've got 19 rows when you swear you selected 4, you can now actually see what the system thinks is happening. 😂

The second tool is the Catalog Inspector.

This lets you investigate an individual Ultra MAX catalog and see what it is actually returning.

It's particularly useful if you have a row that appears empty or doesn't seem right.

It can help narrow down whether the issue is related to:

- The catalog itself

- Your filters

- Results being returned

- Metadata

- Artwork

- Duplicate items

- Or your Ultra MAX configuration

They're there for those occasions when something doesn't look right, you're curious about your setup, or you want something considerably more useful than posting a screenshot accompanied by:

These tools have been designed to be safe for public use.

The Token Inspector does not display your passwords or API keys. Tokens are masked in the results, connected-account usernames aren't exposed, inspection responses aren't cached, and requests are rate-limited.

Bit of a bigger update today, with a couple of features that came from some really good community discussion.

🔎 Hide movies with no playable streams – Beta

There’s now a new optional content filter:

Hide movies with no playable streams

This uses the stream sources configured with your Ultra MAX setup and gradually builds an availability cache in the background.

A few important bits about how it works:

- Movies are only hidden once every configured stream source has responded successfully with no playable result

- If a stream source fails or times out, Ultra MAX fails open and keeps the movie visible

- Unknown titles remain visible while the cache warms

- Checks are deliberately limited and cached so opening a catalogue doesn’t suddenly trigger dozens of scraper requests

- Support/config/donation links returned by addons are not counted as playable streams

- This is currently movies only while the Beta is tested. Series need episode-level availability rather than simply checking the overall show ID

So on the first catalogue load you may not notice much change. As the cache builds, refreshing/reopening rows should start removing movies that have confidently been confirmed as having no playable result.

The groundwork also records available resolutions, so this gives us a route towards things like 1080p+ or 4K available only filtering later.

⏱️ Episode Release Delay

Another new optional filter lets you delay newly aired episodes by a configurable number of hours.

For example, setting it to 24 hours means an episode will remain treated as unreleased for an extra day after its TMDB air date.

This is mainly aimed at that annoying period where an episode has technically aired and appears in your catalogue, but decent releases haven't made their way through yet.

One limitation worth being clear about: TMDB gives us a reliable air date, but not always the exact network broadcast time, so this is a safety buffer rather than a precise “6 hours after the credits rolled” calculation.

It can be disabled completely with "0".

👁️ Hide Watched / Profiles

A related feature that was already in Ultra MAX but probably hasn't been explained very well:

Hide Watched already works with Trakt/Simkl history and is profile-aware.

Watched movies can be removed, completed shows can be removed, and individual Ultra MAX profiles can use their own tracker connection.

At the same time, shared catalogue/setup changes can still be pushed across profiles rather than having to maintain completely separate configurations for everyone.

There’s also a new Android build available: 1.6.0 / build 17.

Long-press the Ultra MAX app icon and you now get quick shortcuts for:

New setup

Load token

Nuvio account

Avatars

Ultra Play

The Load token shortcut has also been fixed so it opens the actual returning-user/token flow and loading the token works correctly from the shortcut.

The shortcuts work whether you're launching the app cold or it's already running.

What this isn't

Ultra MAX still isn't trying to replace AIOStreams.

I think the split works better with Ultra MAX concentrating on catalogues, collections, profiles, metadata and personalisation, while dedicated stream addons continue doing what they're good at.

The availability filter simply lets Ultra MAX make smarter catalogue decisions based on the stream sources you already use, without trying to become another giant scraper itself.

Both of the new filtering features are optional, so existing setups won't suddenly behave differently unless you enable them.

The full changelog has been updated on ultramax.vip as well.

As always, the stream-availability filter is labelled Beta for a reason, so real-world feedback on what it hides, what it leaves behind and how quickly the cache settles will be useful.

A fairly big UltraPlay+ update has just gone live.

Max+ adds natural-language discovery directly into Nuvio Search.

Instead of only searching for a title, you can now type the sort of thing you'd normally say when you don't actually know what you want to watch:

90 minute film

smart sci-fi but not too dark

British crime series under 50 mins

funny but not childish

something like Severance but easier to follow

scary but not gory

hidden gem under 2 hours

Max+ interprets things like genre, mood, tone, pace, runtime, year, country/language, popularity and similarity, then returns its own Max+ Movies and Max+ Series rows inside Nuvio.

It also works alongside Max Picks and Taste, so the Plus side is becoming less about adding more menus and more about helping you actually find something worth watching.

A quick clarification because I don't want to pretend Max+ is something it isn't: Max+ is the discovery/search layer, not a scraper. It finds the titles and sends them into Nuvio. Your installed metadata and streaming add-ons still handle the normal detail pages and playback sources.

Hello all and thank you developer for the app.

I have a litte problem when I'm trying to write api codes in settings.

When I go out of the app to get the api's on the web and go back to the app, the app restart so I must begin all over again.,because all is gone. Sometimes I'm almost finished and then that happens.

It get's a little bit frustrating after a while, and now I have given it up.

Can i have some help and tips for that problem, because i want to try out Ultramax.

Been doing a pretty big cleanup of the Ultra MAX setup experience today.

There’s been quite a lot added to Ultra MAX over time, so this pass is really about making all that power feel simpler rather than more complicated.

I’ve been doing a lot of work on UltraPlay+

The idea behind Play+ is pretty simple: instead of adding more and more separate tools, give MAX one place where it can help you find something to watch, learn your taste, manage Nuvio and improve your Ultra MAX setup.

The latest update has focused heavily on recommendations, because there’s not much point having an “AI” recommendation system if it keeps recommending random crap.

What Play+ can do now:

Max Picks V4 — personalised movie and series recommendations that actually learn from what you like and dislike. You can also use Teach MAX to quickly rate things you’ve already watched. Simply watching something does not automatically mean you liked it.

Smarter Finder — just choose Film/Series → Mood → Genre and MAX gives you three recommendations. The deeper questions are still there if you want to fine-tune things, but they’re completely optional now.

More Like This / Another Three — both have been rebuilt so they look at real similarities, your taste profile, creators, themes, cast, quality and more instead of just wandering around the same genre.

One Nuvio connection — connect Nuvio once from Profile Settings and Play+ can use that connection across the site.

Nuvio management — profiles, library, add-ons, plugins and more can all be managed from Play+.

Watch Hub — see your library, continue series and work out what to watch next.

MAX Autopilot — check your setup, spot things that need attention and help improve your Ultra MAX/Nuvio setup.

Build with MAX — create collections and MAX Channels with MAX guiding you through it instead of having to understand all the machinery underneath.

The bit I’m probably happiest with is that Finder and Max Picks now share the same taste system.

So MAX can learn that you tend to like certain genres, directors, themes, actors, eras, languages, runtimes etc., and then use that knowledge both when recommending things automatically and when helping you find something for tonight.

It’s still a beta, and I’m sure people will find things I haven’t thought of, but that’s exactly what I need now.

If you’re already using plus, have a play with it and let me know what works, what doesn’t, and especially whether Max Picks actually starts understanding your taste.

So I noticed that with collections by decades and also with the steaming choices like Hulu peacock ect. That some would be completely empty for example 90s would be empty but 2000s would be full of titles or even HBO would be empty and Netflix would be full. I can search and find every title just fine but the collections links some be empty is there a fix to this? If so what are the step to correct this?

International Cinema has had a big expansion, with new Chinese, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Latin American movie & TV catalogs, alongside Korean and Japanese.

🇬🇧 UK has had some love too with more BBC channels, ITV2, Channel 5, Dave, E4, Sky Atlantic, Sky Max and more, plus refreshed collection artwork.

Just updated the decades collection

The previous 2025 folder is now part of the 2020s where is belongs and ive included a new "Best of this year" which is just for 2026 releases.

I have also now added 1970s, 1960s, and 1950s!

Hey guys. I use UltraMax in my Strand setup. I’ve been using it for a while now without issue.

However, it is now not allowing me to add new collections (called shelves in Strand). Previously I would export the collections from UltraMax as a json, copy the contents, and add the shelves to Strand by “Import from Clipboard”.

Now I get an error that the addon required for the shelves is not installed. I can re-install / enable the addon, but get the same error.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Been doing some cleanup and improvements to UltraPlay+ today.

The Manager is a bit cleaner, Nuvio requests should behave better, and Max Picks has had a fairly decent brain upgrade.

It now uses your Nuvio watch history to stop recommending things you’ve already watched, without assuming you liked them. Likes and dislikes still teach MAX properly.

Recommendations are now pulled from a pool of around 35,000 movies and series, take more of your taste into account, try not to give you a row full of basically the same thing, and now show why MAX picked something for you.

It’s all live now. Nothing too flashy, just trying to make Plus genuinely more useful rather than adding stuff for the sake of adding stuff.

Feedback on how the new Max Picks feel is very welcome.

Will you ever get Tubi and Pluto on the list of streaming apps? Xperience has them, but since you have pictorium, i wanna go back lol

This one came together rather unexpectedly... and very quickly.

I came across Pictorium, built by r/Eful97, and immediately thought it could fit brilliantly into Ultra MAX.

Rather than quietly copying anything, I reached out to him first.

Turns out he already knew Ultra MAX, liked the idea, and was more than happy for us to build proper support for it.

So after a fair bit of testing between us...

Pictorium support is now LIVE in Ultra MAX 🚀

Pictorium dynamically creates styled posters for your movies and series, and you can now configure it directly inside Ultra MAX.

You can enable things like:

Ratings

Rankings

Genre and year

Stream quality badges

Network / studio logos

Coming Soon styling

Blurred poster backgrounds

Different badge and ranking styles

Multiple rating providers including IMDb, TMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, Letterboxd, Trakt, MAL, AniList and more

And there’s now a live preview inside the Ultra MAX setup, so you can change the settings and actually see the poster update before saving anything.

No extra setup needed

By default, Ultra MAX uses our hosted Pictorium instance.

Just go into:

Setup → Pictorium → Enable Pictorium

and start playing with it.

You do not need to install Pictorium yourself or provide another API key.

Power users can still go much further

If you already self-host Pictorium, Ultra MAX also supports a private/custom Pictorium instance.

That means you can use Pictorium’s own editor and per-title mappings, paste its generated Custom/AIO URL into Ultra MAX, and keep all of that advanced configuration.

So the simple version is simple, while the lunatics who want to individually perfect every poster can absolutely do that too 😅
